His boxing heroes are Roy Jones, Jr., Shakur Stevenson, Devin Haney, and Floyd Mayweather and, like them, his goal is to become world champion at multiple weight classes in the pro-ranks to complement those won in the amateurs. He is trained by Aaron “Superman” Davis, the former 1990 WBA World Welterweight Champion. To claim the title, Davis stopped Mark Breland, a 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist and 5-time State of New York Golden Gloves Champion, in the ninth round. He also fought for the 1993 WBA Junior Middleweight Championship losing a close decision to Julio Cesar Vasquez. Other notable fights include Meldrick Taylor, Bronco McKart, and Vinny Pazienza. Davis enjoyed an illustrious 16-year career in boxing before retiring in 2002.
He is advised by Mr. Robert Brewster who also guided Aaron “Superman” Davis, Tyrone “The Harlem Butcher” Jackson, and Kenny “Machine Gun” Mitchell to world titles. He most recently advised Devin “The Dream” Haney to the WBC Lightweight World Title.
